Our mission
Soccer School Finder is a dedicated support system for student-athletes and families navigating the college soccer recruiting process. Founded by Mike Pilger and Kyle Jones, we bring more than five decades of combined experience in coaching, recruiting, and player development. Our goal is to help every student-athlete find the right fit—athletically, academically, financially, and personally.
Through a clear, proven process, we help aspiring student-athletes identify suitable colleges, create effective recruiting materials, communicate with coaches, make informed decisions about ID camps and visits, and understand their opportunities. Our extensive connections throughout the college soccer community allow us to provide informed, honest guidance at every stage.
We are committed to providing personalized support, transparency, and expertise throughout the recruiting journey. By combining our understanding of the college landscape with the individual goals of each student-athlete, we help players pursue the right soccer opportunities while prioritizing their academic success and long-term development—both on and off the field.
Mike & Kyle meet & Win the State Championship
Mike and Kyle first met after Mike retired from college soccer after 30 years of successfully building champion programs at Kenyon College, University of Rochester, and Trinity College. After moving to Chicago to be close to family, Mike reached out to Kyle as he was interested in staying involved in the game. Kyle, a very successful high school and youth coach in the area, asked Mike to join his coaching staff at North Shore Country Day School. This was the beginning of a special partnership and special season. North Shore Country Day School went on to the win the Illinois State Championship that year. Through many conversations throughout the season, Mike and Kyle realized they had the perfect combination of experiences and great passion to help guide student-athletes through the college soccer experience.
Mike Pilger
FounderMike played Division 1 soccer at Boston University. He has over 30 years of college soccer coaching experience and has built championship programs at Kenyon College, the University of Rochester, and Trinity College. He was named National Coach of the Year in 1990. Mike has many contacts in the college soccer world and is able to use them to help student-athletes get the attention they need to play at the next level.
FounderKyle Jones
Kyle played Division 1 soccer at Cornell University and has coached at the college, high school, and youth levels. He has helped numerous high school players play at the college level and has developed a reputation for developing players who can perform at the next level. By sending these players to the next level, Kyle has built strong connections in the college soccer world. As a college coach, he proved himself as one of the top recruiters in the nation.
